Leading 3D Printing Services

Industry specialist Ricoh 3D has enhanced its offering by adding PA2200 Nylon 12 material for SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) to its unique 3D printing material portfolio.

After listening to customer feedback, Ricoh 3D took the decision to integrate the popular prototyping material into its service offering.

The business already offers PA12 for Multi Jet Fusion technology.

Bringing the versatile material to SLS is particularly good news for architects and other businesses who create parts with a high visual finish or need large scale models.

Where Ricoh 3D outperforms its competitors is with its ability to process on large build areas of up to 0.5m3, meaning parts can be manufactured in one piece and do not need to be joined.

To celebrate the launch, Ricoh 3D have announced their “We’ll beat any quote*” offer for the month of October. With any valid quote attached to their online quote engine or emailed to 3Denquiries@ricoh-rpl.com the AM experts are promising to match or beat any SLS PA2200 price.

Rich Minifie, Ricoh 3D’s Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer, said: “We’ve listened to our customers’ requests and are pleased to introduce PA2200 Nylon 12 for SLS.

“PA2200 offers a good balance of mechanical properties and visual qualities. It produces bright white crisp parts which are ideal for projects where high aesthetics are important. The material can also be dyed in-house in a range of primary colours.

“PA2200’s biocompatibility, combined with our ISO 13485 certification, also means we are perfectly set up for medical applications.

“Combined with our large bed system, we can now offer bigger PA2200 parts than are possible on our MJF system. We have five large-scale Ricoh SLS printers here at our Centre of Excellence, meaning we are able to swiftly alter our material line-up and be reactive to customer demand.

“We are always reviewing and developing our materials range and this is another important step in our customer-centric approach.”
