Sean is our machine evaluation and part testing expert. Having joined in 2016, Sean puts all machines, materials and parts through vigorous testing to learn their strengths and weaknesses, and where improvements can be made.
With a background in motorsport, aerospace and rotary engine development, Sean relishes the variety between hands-on testing and data analysis work.
And when he’s not patiently assessing, Sean can be found on two wheels, whether that’s on his motorbike or mountain bike.
When it comes to AM materials, there are few in the industry who know more than our material specialist Enrico.
With a PhD in Material Science and almost five years of experience across the cosmetic and steel industries, Enrico is charged with the sourcing and testing of new materials for SLS and HSS technologies.
Trilingual Enrico loves to work with customers to come up with new.
It’s a demanding job – and when he’s away from the office, Enrico enjoys the challenge of entertaining two young children.
Rob is our training guru. Having joined Ricoh in 1989, Rob trains our service engineers in how to install and service our Ricoh AMS5500P SLS system.
He also provides staff with an introduction to all of the equipment in the AM department and is invaluable in highlighting weakness in equipment and processes.
Rob is also Jack Russell mad – devoted to the four-legged lady in his life, six-year-old Dolly!
Wolverhampton Wanderers fan Mark has a comprehensive background in injection moulding.
Mark joined Ricoh in 1999 and, when he heard the business was moving into 3D printing, was immediately interested due to the synergies between the technologies.
He became more and more actively involved in additive manufacturing projects phil– and now leads the 3D team.
Mark enjoys keeping on top of the constantly evolving technological advances in the industry and how these can solve customers’ challenges.
When he’s not at Ricoh HQ, or taking in a game at Molineux, you’ll most likely find him CrossFitting at the gym!
Myles started as a technical apprentice at Ricoh in 2014 before becoming AM Junior Engineer four years later.
Today he is instrumental in a host of AM activities including machine and process optimisation and evaluation, design and production support.
Photography and gaming enthusiast Myles loves showing visitors how 3D printing is changing the face of manufacturing – and watching their reactions as they see what the technology is capable of.
Don’t be fooled by his baby face – our Senior AM Engineer Rich is one of the founding fathers of the 3D printing function after joining Ricoh in 2001, originally part of the Design and Development department.
Rich is a real customer service champion – and loves sharing new technologies, materials and applications with customers; helping them to understand how they can apply AM to their business.
He is also a seasoned footballer – representing the Ricoh Royals at our annual European Football Championships.
A member of the team since 1986, Louis truly is part of the Ricoh furniture.
He has held a number of roles within the manufacturing side of the business, including the production, print recycling and 2D print function at our Customer Experience Centre.
He’s now relishing the chance to put those decades of expertise to use in an exciting advancing department as he helps oversee a wide variety of the operational activities.
Away from work, Louis’ sporting credentials have come to the fore in recent years as he‘s taken up golf and running, including several half marathons.
Responsibility for the day-to-day running of our AM department rests with Carlton.
It’s in the safest of hands as Carlton has been a mainstay of the 2D printing business for more than 30 years, specialising in new and recycled printers, toner and copiers.
Like our whole team, Carlton is driven by providing outstanding customer service and is committed to going the extra mile to meet deadline – quite fitting for someone who enjoys travelling in his spare time!
Jason traded a position in the Army to join Ricoh in 2016 and is now an integral part of the Additive Manufacturing team.
The desire to make a difference for customers and to enjoy a new challenge every day saw Jason move away from the toner assembly division at Ricoh to put his skills to use in the 3D printing arena.
A regular in the gym when not at work, Jason is helping to take the department from strength to strength.
Andy has been involved in additive manufacturing virtually from the time Ricoh first entered the world of 3D printing.
A support team leader in all operational functions, Andy has built up a vast and varied bank of experience since joining Ricoh in 2014, from mixing materials to creating build files.
A UFC and boxing fan, Andy’s versatility certainly makes him a heavyweight in our growing department.
Always at the end of the phone to offer customer support, Amber is on the frontline of providing exceptional service and client care.
Since joining Ricoh in May 2016, Amber has provided administration support to all our customers, bringing an open, honest and flexible approach to the team.
Away from her day job, Amber devotes all her time to animals by volunteering at the Hilbrae Rescue Centre in Telford.
After being offered the opportunity to specialise in additive manufacturing while studying for his Masters in Mechanical Design Engineering, Chris has always had a passion for driving excellence in 3D printing.
Specialising in technical support in production management, he revels in solving the most unusual and technical of customer challenges.
Chris also brings a sense of humour to the production facility, having previously had a spell as a stand-up comedian!
